About Me
I have a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and Business from Vanderbilt University and a law degree from the University of Tennessee, obtaining a Juris Doctor degree in 1973. I’m admitted to practice in all Tennessee courts, the U.S. district court for the Eastern District and the US Court of appeals for the 6th Circuit.
I started practicing in Memphis, Tennessee where I worked for the best criminal and personal injury lawyers in the city. I moved to Chattanooga in 1976, where I worked under the tutelage of one of Chattanooga’s premier criminal attorneys. In 1982 I moved to East Ridge where I have lived ever since.
In 1999, I joined ERMC and eventually became the Chief Legal Officer and Sr. Vice-President of that company. In that capacity I oversaw civil personal injury litigation in over 40 states and supervised up to 100 outside top-notch personal injury lawyers around the country, attending numerous trials and mediation regarding personal injury cases.
I have been involved as a member of the Optimist Club and the American Legion. I previously served on the East Ridge Charter Committee and I currently serve on the East Ridge Industrial Development Board.
